Well it has been a tough year and a half but we are back! And the fish are too! Some of our most recent Nanaimo fishing Charters we have been getting into incredible amounts of chinook Salmon. Numbers like I have never seen before. Unfortunately chinook has been closed for retention but is due to open July 15th! There is a minimum and maximum size when it does open but we are just happy that guests have an opportunity to take home some fish on a fishing charter in Nanaimo. Most of the chinook we have been catching have been in the juvenile size range but there are some decent sized ones around in the teens and into the 20’s as well. We hope this bodes well for the rest of the season and look forward to getting out on the water more this summer.
