Nanaimo Fishing Report 5/20/16

Well the last week has definitely brought a change to the fishing in Nanaimo. After a great start to the Salmon fishing season in Nanaimo, it has quieted down out there. Our last few Nanaimo fishing charters have produced some fish but nothing like it should be at this time of year. All

of the Nanaimo fishing charters guides are wondering where the fish went? A lot of boats are coming in with nothing to show for a days fishing. Usually this time of year is when the salmon fishing is at its best and limits are easily caught. The fish were coming in in good numbers until the wind storm recently and all of a sudden people are struggling to catch a few keepers. There are still a large number of smaller chinook salmon being caught but most are too small to keep. We remain optimistic that good numbers of fish will move in soon and the fishing will pick back up! It can literally turn around any day so don't hesitate to contact us to find out how the fishing is going. Best of luck out there!

Make it an Unreel Day!
