June Nanaimo Fishing Charters Report

It’s been a tough June so far with stong winds on the water for a number of our latest Nanaimo fishing charters. For the trips we have been able to do, the coho and chinook fishing has continued to be good. Strong nw winds have been around lately accompanied by warm and dry weather. Typically we don’t see these conditions until July and August. Just in the last few days the weather has cooled off a bit and winds have dropped so looking forward to more seasonal conditions, less wind and more fish! On our most recent fishing trips we’ve found a good mix of hatchery and non hatchery coho. Current restrictions only allow hatchery coho retention. The schools of fish are moving around a fair amount though so we are having to search for them some days. Fingers crossed the seasonal conditions are around to stay now!
