Nanaimo Fishing Charters Report 7/27/17

The last few weeks we have been busy doing fishing charters on Vancouver island. We have been getting into chinook and coho salmon on most days doing Nanaimo fishing charters. We are waiting to see our larger resident chinook salmon come through the area. We have also been doing well for bottom fish, including lingcod up to 30 pounds and yellow eye rockfish up to 10 pounds. The lingcod we have been catching have been in depths from 50 to 250 feet. We have also caught a number of lingcod on salmon gear while trolling for salmon which makes for a fun time on the rod! Swim baits have been the best for catching any bottom fish doing Nanaimo fishing charters. The coho salmon have been plentiful but alot of them are wild so you may have to catch and release a few till you find some hatchery ones.

Tight lines,

Capt. Blake
