Victoria Fishing Report

Salmon fishing in Victoria has slowed a little over the last week. The best areas have been Constance bank and off Albert Head. The salmon seem to have moved futher offshore over the last week. Most salmon caught are under sized for legal retention but there are still a few larger springs hitting the cleaning tables. Small glow spoons, flash flys and herring spoons have been having good success as well as anchovies in glow teaser heads. Most fish are still down deep close to the bottom. The halibut fishing in Victoria has been very good the last week. Most Halibut have been caught on Albert Head, Constance Bank, Border Bank and William Head. Lots of the Halibut caught have been good sized with a number in the 50's and 60lb ranges. Salmon bellies, large herring and octopus have been working well for bait. Mudrakers and powerbaits are also working well for keeping away the dog fish.

Best of luck out there!

Capt. Blake
