Victoria Fishing Report

Salmon fishing in Victoria has been pretty good as of late. Although most salmon are still undersized of just over, there are a few hitting the docks in the low to high teens. Constance bank has been the best area to get into some salmon recently, although the waterfront is still producing some fish. Small coyote spoons, coho killers, needlefish and herring spoon have been the best at getting hookups. Glow teaser heads and bloody nose teaser heads have also been working well. Halibut fishing in Victoria has been very good over the last week or 2. Lots of halibut have been hitting the dock from Constance bank, William head and Albert head. Salmon bellies, extra large herring and octopus are the go to's for bait right now. If you want to keep the dogfish off your line, mudrakers, powerbaits and other jigs have been working well.

Salmon fishing in Sidney has been pretty slow the last few weeks. Most salmon are still undersized or just over but there has been the odd good sized fish caught. Sidney spit and coal island have been the best producing areas as of late. Needlefish spoon, coho killers and anchovies have been the best for getting hookups.

Best of luck out there!
