With the month of May coming to an end, we have had some productive days doing Nanaimo fishing charters the last week with some great guests. Although the fishing in Nanaimo has changed quite a bit over the last month, there are still good amounts of chinook salmon around with sizes up to 20 pounds. Our last few fishing charters Nanaimo have produced good fish up to 20 pounds. There are selective bite times that come on that you need to take advantage of if you want to put some fish in the box. Our usual spots right around the fingers have been a bit slower this season but areas like the inside trough and off Neck point have been producing fish. The skinny G outfitter spoon has been our best producer matched up with a madi and lemon lime flashers. The glow needle fish has also been working well. Our most consistent depths have been from 125-155. Some other good news is the algae bloom that has been plaguing our waters over the last month looks to be dissipating. With the weather finally getting better and the larger chinook runs due to arrive anytime, now's a great time to book your next fishing charter!
Make it an Unreel Day!
