Finally we are seeing some bigger fish on our most recent fishing charters! Also we are seeing some good numbers and sized coho out on our fishing charters this week. We've had some great groups out fishing with us and some great sunny weather, although the wind can go away any time! Which it looks like it should ease today. Our latest trip out was a great day teamed up with Turk from Reel Time Charters to take out a group of 8 for their first salmon fishing experience on a fishing charter in Nanaimo. We pulled in 4 keeper sized springs up to 20 pounds, as well as a handful of just undersized springs and a nice ling cod, as well as lots of red rock crab. Safe to say they will have lots of fresh seafood for a while to come! Safe to say I think some of this group is now "hooked" on salmon fishing ;) Hopefully the summer runs of springs and coho continue to come in to the area and we start seeing even bigger fish on our next fishing charters! Also just an FYI, we are getting into our busiest part of the season and it may be more difficult to get ahold of us as we are so busy.
