Winter Fishing In Nanaimo

While winter salmon fishing in Nanaimo hasn't been the greatest, there still has been the odd decent winter spring hitting the docks. The weather has kept alot of boaters off the waters of Nanaimo this month. There has been quite alot of bait in the water and a decent amount of undersized springs and shakers have been caught. Most fish have been down deep on small glow spoons on long leaders 7-9'. Thrasher Rock and the Winchelsea area have produced good fish. Entrance Island and the fingers have also produced some winter springs. The prime season for salmon fishing in Nanaimo is right around the corner, so make sure to book your trip early with one of the top producing fishing charters in Nanaimo.

Best of luck out there!

Capt. Blake
