The last month of salmon fishing in Nanaimo has been fairly typical of this time of year. There are some salmon out there off Nanaimo, it just takes some time to find them! The salmon have been showing up far offshore, usually down fairly deep. Out past Entrance Island and far out from the Fingers are your best bets right now. The usual glow gear, including small glow coyotes, glow hootchies or squirts and glow flashers are the go to right now. The prime fishing season is just around the corner for Nanaimo and we hope its just as good or better than last year!
